Hello everyone!
I'd like to take a moment to talk about the game's improvements and some future projects.
The current Patreon test build, version 0.13.4, is now available. It includes numerous bug fixes and various improvements designed to make the overall experience more enjoyable. It also includes part 1 of a major hypnosis-based mission (highly requested by many of you). And the first mission in a series of two, featuring the Sluggys.
However, that's not the biggest news !
For several months now, I've been thinking about a sequel for the game. And, I've decided to switch to a new game engine for the next game. This next project will therefore be developed using Godot. No panic, I'll finish the current game. I'm not giving up on it.
For those unfamiliar with it, Godot is a modern game engine similar to Unity. This change will give me much greater creative freedom, along with access to a far more powerful set of development tools than RPG Maker can offer. That's the main reason behind this decision.
In practical terms, this will allow me to introduce many improvements, including completely redesigned menus, a new Pokémon-inspired battle system (1v1 combat, using 4 skills chosen from a series of available), a revamped inventory system, expanded achievements, and many other new features.
At the moment, I am mainly focused on the development of Spy Bunny Luna, and in parallel I am developing the tools that will be useful to me for the next game. With Godot, I'm essentially starting from scratch and have to build most of these features myself. This requires significantly more work than RPG Maker, which is why I started this process early.
