Six months after the game jam we can finally release a good version of our game. The idea and initial prototype of the game was made at the Klujam game programming event in December 2019. Since our preview release we have improved and extended the game and replaced the old bugs by new ones. The riddles are mostly different, so even if you played the old version, this should provide some replay value for you!
Right after we finished work on the C64 platform, another problem popped up: the web player, which basically runs a C64 emulator in the browser struggled with the sound reproduction. We had a strong interest in giving everybody the possibility to play the game in the browser, because not everybody has a Commodore C64 at home (nobody is perfect :-) and second, even though that there are good emulators, many people might be reluctant downloading and installing an emulator program on their computer. Thus, we searched other possibilities, and in the current version we are using Rjanicek's Versatile Commodore Emulator for JavaScript including the configuration script from the project side.
