Hello and привет!
Fleeting World got updated to v2! The "Informational Update" is here, so let's see what it brings us.
The update focuses on improving the UI and the general flow of information. It is concerned with:
- language support;
- connection toggling;
- feature highlighting;
- keyboard building selection;
- night brightness options;
- volume options;
- new tutorial system.
The localization system has been implemented, and it now supports the Russian language. More languages to come in further updates.
Connections between buildings and the Village (those orange lines) can now be toggled by either pressing the C key, or the C button in the upper left corner of the screen. No more orange mess in the later game!
By pressing either the H key or the H button in the top left, you can highlight all the Natural Features (Forsts, etc.) in the World. Additionally, whenever you hover on a Building selection panel, the respective Feature needed for that Building is highlighted. For example, hovering over a Shrine highlights all the Sungleams.
Now you can press the numbers above the letter keyboard to select buildings. This is an addition and an alternative to selecting by mouse. 1 selects a Village, 2 selects a Lumber Mill, etc.
The Settings (a.k.a Options) menu is now available, and it allows controlling the brightness of the night, as well the sound levels for both the background music and the UI.
The static tutorial screen has been replaced by a dynamic one. Press the question mark button in the bottom left of the screen to bring out the hints window. Then move the cursor to any object to see, what it is and how to use it.
This update is more related to conveniece, rather than substance, which is why the enxt update will be a content update! Follow the devlog to stay tuned and discover, what kind of stuff Fleeting World is going to bring you.
In the meanwhile, happy playing!
