Continuous horde

  • The arena now refills toward the same “max enemies” limit each cycle: it keeps working to stay at that cap instead of only adding one enemy every few seconds.
  • That max can go up as the run goes on (level, time/overtime pressure), when an enemy shrine is active, or during special swarm windows. Some of those rules get stricter while a boss fight is active.

Swarms (timed rushes)

  • Certain swarms trigger when your level crosses set thresholds (not clock time).
  • During a swarm, extra pressure applies for a fixed window (custom mix / spawn pacing per design); then pacing and the normal enemy cap kick back in.

HUD

  • When a swarm starts, you get a “swarm incoming” (or equivalent) HUD cue on the run UI.
