Genre
For the genre of the game, I was thing a top down shooter (retro style since i not a very good artist but ok at making pixel art). It also fast pace shooter, and exploring the world around you. I going to a game similar to a Metroidvania style game progression as you unlock the world around you with upgrade to weapon and skills.
Theme
For the game themes, I have gone for a Sci Fi style story about a robot exploring a seemly abandon facility overrun by a hivemind of other robot. you will get multiple gun with upgrade to unlock and part that you can upgrade to add new skills.
