Even more good progress this week. Diana and Emily now both have four affection events each with a few chances for you to choose how to react. I've tried to have a good, bad, and middling option for every choice even though in these early scenes the outcomes will be pretty obvious. It might seem pointless to have 'bad' choices but being honest can sometimes be a good way to get to know someone and I want to give you the chance to tell an NPC what you really think. Diana in particular is a bit spiky herself and may actually appreciate some blunt truth! Be assured that you can't ruin your relationship, at worst you'll just slow down your progression a little.
While testing the new events I also noticed some problems with the socialising minigame. The new minigame was circumventing a lot of the reactions and dialogue so I've repaired that and expanded on it a little so NPCs have more personality. With the in camp social events, the chat events when you meet them while exploring, and the updated minigame dialogue the NPCs are feeling a lot more like actual people now. I'm excited for you to meet the new and improved versions!
The only thing left now for the public release is to get the placeholder art done for the new events. There's fifty more pieces needed, and I already added some recently, so the number I mentioned in the last dev log is climbing fast. Version 0.3 had less than 500 pieces and v0.4 will have almost 900!
