0.0.0.2-2: Movement control changes, UI improvements
Hey Everyone!
Firstly, I wanna say thank you for checking out the project and sharing your thoughts and feedback. This helps make a much better game for everyone!
Here's a list of changes and new additions to The Hunt!
Major Additions:
- Player movement control changes! Better Air Control, better deceleration in the air
- Multiple players have voiced their disinterest about the default setup
- A lot more work is on the horizon, but this is just the first step
- Lock-on has been implemented!
- Hold down RMB or Left Trigger to snap view to valid target
- Working on weapon projectile effects
- Shotgun could freeze enemies - definitely in the works
- Rifle could burn and/or penetrate enemies
- Pistol could hit multiple enemies before destroying
- Message dialog has been added when attempting to open a door
- Message dialog has been added for attempting to wall run
- Hold Forward + Right to run along the wall
Major Changes:
- Level 1 now includes two different enemies
- They won't attack, mainly just follow you around
- Player no longer starts with all three weapons
- This is a change in focus for weapon progression system, small step for now
- You will unlock the rifle in the locked room in Level 1
- You will unlock the shot gun before the second platform segment in Level 2
- Dashing logic has been clamped
- Instead of boosting you through a map, Dashing has been clamped to a certain degree to give you a more controllable burst of speed
- Reduced texture resolutions for all platforms
- This should not only reduce file size, but also reduce hardware spec requirements
Known Issues:
- Lock-on: When surrounded by targets or colliding with level geo, it's possible the camera will move erratically
- Camera: Adjusting gamepad sensitivity will cause the camera to move really slowly
