#update #patch #bug fix
Hello, everyone.
Last night we released Build 0.3, and quickly afterwards a very dedicated player caught a rare but possibly game-breaking bug. nanoff found its origin and fixed it. Since the chances of it ever happening in a given playthrough were so small we didn't make a big deal out of it then, we just pushed the update ASAP. The bug was caused by a memory leak, it made stat boosts obtained in one playthrough transfer on to the next one if certain circumstances were met. If you are playing through the game with the original build it probably won't affect you, but if it's an issue just download the currently available build.
Today's devlog chronicles this, yes, but we thought it would be a good opportunity to record a few more important points: today marks the day when we, in one fell swoop, achieved 200 ratings on Itch and 20.000 lifetime downloads... We are about to hit 1.000 folowers on Twitter, too, and to top it off in less than ten days we will celebrate Minotaur Hotel's first anniversary!
Writing for this project began on June 2nd 2019, back when it was just an interactive story. Around July we started working on the VN, and on September we released the first build. This has been such a crazy, amazing journey. Most importantly, I hope Build 0.3 managed to spark some joy in these trying times and that we will continue to provide you with remarkable experiences.
Thank you for being with us.
