Hi all! I wanted to mention that this app has definitely served me well. While I use the tool for my solo adventures, I also use it for the campaigns I run. In fact, I have used it for two separate campaigns across several sessions.
The way it works for me is a probability adjudicator. My players ask something potentially crazy about the world and, instead of following my own bias and potentially shutting them down or committing fully to the nonsense, I use the oracle to divine an answer.
For me, it prevents a homogenized game world where everything works exactly how I think it does. It's freeing in a way, and also allows my games to become something more than just an authored world.
And I think that's much more interesting. In addition, the fact that I am discovering things alongside the players is also really cool.
Just don't forget, this tool isn't a get out of jail free card. I do a rigorous amount of campaign session prep. For me, the Oracle is more of a tool to fill in the gaps.
