We added controller rumble in character select, and during the main level to give more feedback to the players.
When we playtested the game during character select it was not imidiatly clear what indicator you were controller so now you have to press A or X for playstation to join the lobby and only then your indicator will show up and will be controlled by you. We also added a rumble when you join so its very clear when you join.
In the main level we added indicators for when a tentacle is about to hit the ship, when barrels are launched and also when a player dropped in the water, an icon of the chosen character will float above the drowning pirate.
We updated the hud images and added an extra bar for when you are drowning, the bar will fill with red for the drowncounter and with blue for the recover counter.
After only 1 player is left the endscreen gets triggered with the winning player in front and the losing players in the water in the back. From the endscreen you can restart the game or quit the game.
We implemented a lot of sounds in the game, the sound for the cannonballs falling down has a random pitch so it doesnt sound so repetitive.
We’ve made some extra updates to our post processing shaders, the cell shader for one is the most notable change from the previous but we’ve made a few tweaks to the water and outline materials.
