Although I'm a few days behind, I finally got the sound effects in.
The choices were entirely based on personal taste — no particular design rationale.
Roughly divided into a few layers: terrain interactions (targets, goal, void) use electronic tones; spatial operations (diverge, merge) use airy sounds of expansion and convergence; general movement and pickup/drop use simple clicks.
The restore sound was chosen to match the visual highlight effect. Not sure how well it sits alongside the others, but I hope these choices add a bit more atmosphere to the puzzle experience.
