Bound Together
A downloadable game for Windows

Greatings all, I have a nice update for you! Shout out to the Indie Games Clinic (IGC) discord group for sharing their feedback and helping me come up with a solution for the issue with the floaty stickers looking out of place in Stitch's world. I made it so the 2D stickers are now mounted to popsicle stick stands complete with all new animations:

I also worked with a 3D artist named Kevin de Jong (link to his Instagram on game's main page) to start bringing the various Treasures Stitch can collect to life. He created models and textures for the Deathcap, Bottlecap Chestplate, and Pop Tab Vambrace so far! Very excited to be working with such a talented artist ^_^

The other main feedback I received essentially boiled down to "what makes this game unique from Slay the Spire"? Which has been a major concern of mine since the inception of this project. The toolkit I am using as the base is very clearly structured off Slay the Spire and I had not done enough to really show what makes my game special. To remedy that, this release I restructured my reward system to offer the player the ability to combine cards AFTER EVERY FIGHT. This really helps bring the fun card combination mechanic to the forefront and as a side benefit removes a lot of the unresolved clunkiness of having a Binding card in your deck.

I also added some new mechanics! I made the Pop Tab Vambrace (currently the new starting Treasure) which has my take on a parry mechanic. If you apply armor exactly equal to the incoming attack, you counter that attack and reflect the damage back to the attacker! This encourages more thought when stacking your armor and makes blocking more rewarding. The other mechanic I have added is called Button Craft, which is an alternate way to cast your cards. A card with Button Craft doesn't use your normal action resources but uses your armor as a resource instead. This is another way to support players who enjoy the armor stacking strategy.

I hope these new features help differentiate my game. Please let me know what you think here or on any of my socials!
