DEADBEAT Devlog #09: Polishing ,Fixing, Sounds,..

This weeks devlog will focus mainly on polishing and in particular: Sound, Optimizing the scene visuals, menu's and fixing bugs.
Visual Changes (UI & Game)
Additional Changes
We also did some minor changes and missing implementations.
- Added speed up for the conveyer belt to speed up the overall game according to the music speedup.
- Games can now reset allowing for immediate replay.
Sound Effects
There's been added quite some sounds this week. Here's a compressed list of some sounds we've added! Since we want to put a good focus on player feedback, we will be adding additional sounds in next weeks to ensure a fully reactive gameplay.
Menu's
- Menu main theme
- Menu selection screen sound
Abilities
- Freeze Ability sound
- Heal Ability sound
- On-Beat Ability sound
- Pick-up Ability sound
- Shield Ability sound
Player
- Punch shot sound
- Shoot Punch sound
Game
- New Background Music
- New/Slower BPM to allow for better on-beat jumping.
Notable Bug Fixes
Drone
- Drones now rotate in the direction they're flying to.
- Drones now increase their dropping speed based on the speed of the game.
Menu Functionality
- Fixed the sliders for volume
- Game automatically starts on pressing play now.
Abilities
- Fixed overlapping shields
- Fixed multiple shields at the same time
- Changed invincibility for player
Players
- Double damage taken in some occasions.
- Controller detection implemented + allowing multiple players to play
- Camera will now not swap on player 1 dying.
What's next?
- Although we are getting closer and closer to the end of DEADBEAT development, we are going to continue looking for bugs, fixing bugs, look for visual improvement and adding more player feedback like sound effects.
