May 2020 Update

Zen: A Gay Sequel
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

It's been another month already, somehow. No big things to report... it was actually a really rough month as far as work and lockdown life goes, so I didn't get nearly as much done as I'd wanted.

Dev Progress Update

All updates apply only to the (in-progress) full game release and not the demo.

Writing Status

The first pass of writing is complete up to the in-game day of February 10. The game is now at 68,107 words, 6458 dialogue blocks, and 149 menus.

CG Status

Both artists were busy with other projects in May, so no new CGs were finished. One new ending CG was started by Wolfscade (preview below). General status is still 6/14 CGs complete, with 1/8 in progress.

Other Progress

There's now a preference to skip weekend board game sequences.

Implemented a meeple stacking minigame, but haven't put it into the game yet.

Implemented a typing minigame that might become a separate YAGS Teaches Typing game? Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet.

The sliding puzzle minigame now supports a customizable mode where you can select the character and background image for the puzzle.
