v0.1.0 is finally ready to share!
In April 2022, I shared the initial v0.0.1 of this game concept I was exploring called Melodescent, a platforming game where everything is synced to the rhythm of the music. I learned a lot from that prototype, and one of the key takeaways was that requiring the player to jump and dash in time with the music is really hard to balance against being fun!
Since then, the game has gone through a multitude of iterations and honestly the scope kinda got away on me a bit 😅It's wild to think that it's just shy of 4 years since that initial release, but when it's not your day job and you're balancing other life things, game progress is slow. Slow and steady gets the job done though, so I'm stoked to now be able to share this little preview with you all!
