Just wanted to announce the initial release of my ProSave mod for RPG Maker MV. It swaps out the local save encoder for one that is faster/better, and on large files has been shown to be over 90% faster and about 30% more space efficient.
Let me know if you run into any problems or are interested in getting other save/load data related features!
