Clean Work (Demo)
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

Here's a frequently asked questions section, as I get a lot of similarly asked questions around the project

Q. What's the game about?

A. Clean work, is a short, first-person shooter. You play as a unnamed hitman, who has shoot their way though waves of enemies to arrive at,  and take out their assigned target.

Q. Does the game have a story?

A. Yes! Clean work is designed to be a relatively short experience, but it does have short story to tell though NPC dialogue and the environment. Don't expect stellar writing, but it's there.

Q. What was the inspiration?

A. I recently found my childhood Playstation 2, and started replaying some old classics. Destroy all Humans, The Punisher, Black, etc. I just really got a urge to recreate my own classic Retro type game. From a game design perspective, the retro design lets me do more with less.

Q. How long you been working on the game?

A. About a year now, but development has been stop and start. I work full time as a developer, so I really only work on this project when I can be bothered, honestly speaking.

Q. When do you expect to release the game, and wrap up development?

A. 2026 for sure, although I cannot give a exact timeframe. The game systems are there, next major steps are bug fixes, improvements, and expanding the games levels. I don't want to continue working on this project come 2027 ideally.

Q. What's the difference between the Demo, and full version?

A. The demo is  roughly the first 1/3 of the full game. I plan on adding some more levels, weapons, enemies, and general improvements. Possibly (But not promised), controller support.

Q. What's the game made in, and what tools have been used?

A. The game is built in the Unity Engine, using the standard rendering pipeline. Fmod has been used as the audio engine.

Q. Did you make these assets yourself?

A. No! All models, textures, sounds, music, etc, have been sourced mainly from itch.io. (Any assets under the PSX Tag predominantly). I have a separate Blog under 'assets' list for this. I have simply stitched a world together using freely available assets, and coded everything myself to create the game!

 Q.  Did you use AI?

A. Can't believe we live in a time where developers now need to clarify this, but no. All assets was created previously by a human (presumably), and all the code was written myself, a lizard.

Q. Is the project going to be free?

A. Yes, and yes! Clean work is simply just a fun little passion project between my fulltime job. I have absolutely no intention to make any form of revenue off of it.

Q. Can my children play this game?

A. Obviously not. Clean work is designed to be a 18+ experience. It features strong language, blood, dismemberment, and gun violence.

Q. Did you make the games Music?

A. No! All credit for music used goes to the wonderful  'Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio', who makes timeless tunes completely royalty free (Check him out, incredible human being! - https://www.youtube.com/@WhiteBatAudio

Q. Does the game have a trailer?

A. Yes, but its kinda outdated now. A lot has changed! Therefore, I have taken it off the games page. You can still check it out here though:
