Writing and Editing

Stuff I did this week:

• I've made a playable build of the visual novel to give to the playtesters. I'm in the process of adding the fixes and tweaks that they have sent to me.
• Edited the dialogue (adding or switching words here and there),  because after voice acting you tweak the dialogue for the voice actor's reads on their lines (sometimes a sentence sounds different written down, versus said out loud).
• Also updated the VN's Easter Egg.

Voice Acting

• The final voice acting has been recorded. I'm really happy with it, and I'm excited for you to hear it!

Art Assets

• Made a diagram about the process of creating the art assets for Dear Devere.
• Made a few tweaks for the art assets. There was one envelope I felt didn't look good enough (the watercolours looked too simple), so I re-did it, and I'm so glad I did!
• Replaced the dialogue textbox with a darker one, as well as changed .
• Created icons for builds. I used hnet and cloudconverter for converting the png file into ico and icns files, respectively.

Programming

• This week, I finished programming Dear Devere's credits, splashscreen, text styles (the font used for the titlecards throughout the VN), and the settings screen (it broke after I added something to it, but I figured it out in the end).
• Finished programming the script (scripting in the music, voice acting, audio, images, dialogue, etc).
• Tweaked the textbox and quickmenu GUI images.
• Made the main menu's text bigger after getting feedback. 
• Finished all the alt descriptive text for the visually-impaired.

Music

• Paul Robins posted another clip of Dear Devere's OST. I'm thrilled at how the whole soundtrack turned out!

Marketing

• Made an announcement post for the voice actors of Dear Devere!
• Updated Dear Devere's Itchio page with new screenshots from the VN.
• Posted two Dear Devere-related memes this week: Meme 1 | Meme 2
• Posted a #ScreenshotSaturday Tweet.
• Made a list of people who may be interested in covering Dear Devere. Whether it's as a critique, blog post, playthrough, or livestream.

I should have Dear Devere released by NaNoRenO's deadline (the 14th of April).
