# Dev-log #4: Backgrounds First

Dynamite Blue
A downloadable game

Hi, this is the Dynamite Blue dev team.

Today, we're sharing in-game background footage for the first time.

 Why backgrounds first?

We've shared character images before, but you haven't seen them in motion yet.
Character animations are still being worked on, so this time we prepared a video focused on backgrounds.
Rather than just waiting in silence, we figured it's better to share what we can right now.


This is what it feels like

We prepared this video so you could get a sense of Dynamite Blue's overall tone and mood.
What kind of world we're building, what kind of spaces these characters will live in - that's what we wanted to share first.
We hope the backgrounds alone can give you a feel for what this game is about.


A few things to note

This footage was captured directly from the engine, so it's not the final version.
Lighting, effects, and details are still being refined.
You'll notice characters are there, but they're not animated yet. Animations are still in progress- once they're ready, we'll show them properly.


Closing

There's still a lot to polish, but we hope this gives you a feel for the overall vibe.
Next time, we'll be back with a more developed build - characters animated and all.
