Top Down Prototype

Project Canopy (WIP) is a sci-fi top-down survival shooter game where you explore an alien world with a massive jungle that is as beautiful as it is hostile. You can harvest resources, craft tools and weapons, and vehicles and buildings to try to survive another day on this mysterious planet.

Features:

- base building (floors, walls, power generator, scanner, turrets, shield, oxygenator, rain catcher, garage, watch tower, build bridges between trees)

- crafting

- exploration through dense jungle, caves, waterfalls and cliffs

- vehicles (hover board, buggy, all-terrain mobile base, maybe even flying vehicles eventually)

- weapons

- survival stats (oxygen, hunger, thirst) The environment is toxic, so you need to find places that have oxygen, such as your home base.

- creatures ( ranges from small frogs and lizard-types of creatures to hostile jaguar-types and large docile elephant types as well)

Inspirations

This takes inspirations from several different games from completely different genres such as survival and crafting of Subnautica with the management and base building of games like Factorio.
