CUBE Devlog #2

CUBE
A downloadable game for Windows

Hey there CUBERS!

I wanted to do a little update on the current state of CUBE (don't worry, nothing bad)

So currently CUBE has 3 short (and I mean *really* short) levels, and I know this isn't very interesting for most people. With this in mind, I am currently working on and 'Endless Runner' style level for you to play! This level will, of course, be endless and keep track of your high score. This level will also have the customizable colors of the 'standard' levels, however it will be a separate option on the menu to play it so that it doesn't get confused with the 'standard' levels.

Now as far as future plans go, I am very much wanting to add a way for you CUBERS to collect 'mini-cubes' (coins) that can then be used in a little store to be able to unlock more CUBE colors. And don't worry, this isn't any micro transaction garbage, all 'mini-cubes' will only be obtainable by playing the game, NOT spending money. Additionally with this, I'll also be looking at a way to allow you to create your own custom CUBE skins/colors, although this may take a while longer to add in.

Aside from the above, the current three levels will eventually be relocated as the 'tutorial' levels of CUBE so that new players can familiarize themselves with the controls. Now of course, if the only current levels become 'tutorial' levels, how is one meant to play anything other than endless mode? Well, I'm glad you asked! Along with these levels being moved, a minimum of 5 (more likely 10) proper levels will be added for you to play.

Other smaller additions would be likely to include things like (but not limited to):
- UI touch ups
- Links to where else you can find me
- Custom game startup

And with that all out of the way, I want to give a big thank you to anyone who downloads and play, or has played, CUBE.
