While researching about surrealism, I have found Peter Saul and was fortunate enough to see his show at the New museum before the virus spreads in the city. Peter Saul’s artwork focuses on surrealism with a blend of politics. I think the surrealistic ideas and aesthetics would fit my game idea. In his paintings, figures have super long limbs that can reach to an unreasonable distance, ideas as such could be utilized into my game. His choices of colors have also caught my attention. One of my game ideas was to have drugs randomly altered the player’s movement speed or direction, and his psychedelic colors would carry out this feel and aesthetic.
