Version 1.3 released!
Plagued Station is around 9 years old! How embarrassing!
I remember thinking it kinda sucked at the time, and it sucks even more in the modern age. But Plagued Station and, moreso, Plagued Station 2, own a soft, warm, allotment in my heart these days.
So here's an update in order to make it a little more bearable to play in the radiant age of 2026 that we all endure.
Here are the changes:
- The game now defaults to a resolution based on your display size.
- Minor camera tweaks, the camera now has a movement deadzone.
- Added 'coyote time' for early & post-ledge jumping.
- You can now press Y on gamepad in order to 'refabricate'. (Thanks, TheL_493)
- You can now move with the D-PAD on gamepad.
- Added controller versions of all button prompts when using a controller.
- You can no longer use the tram while in the air.
- Fixed bug allowing you to repeatedly re-open the same dialogue box.
- Improved left/right input detection for movement, left no longer always takes precedent.
- Replaced 'hold ESC to quit' with a pause menu.
- Added option for changing the window scale.
- Added option for setting audio volume.
- Added option for setting music volume.
- Sped up dialogue box open/close animation.
- Holding the jump button now speeds up dialogue.
- Fixed bug allowing you to end some dialogue boxes before they've finished.
- You can no longer immediately restart a dialogue box while it's closing.
- Added a dialogue message for when activating a tram station.
- Added a dialogue message for when activating the fans.
- Made tram behaviour consistent at all stations.
- Fixed tram appearing underneath the tramrail at L station.
- Added a few misc missing sounds.
- Fixed rescued scientists appearing at their old location for a few frames when entering the room.
- Added a 'people left' board & 'safety light' to the saferoom.
- Restored some old broken lighting code.
- Power consumption now pauses when in dialogue.
- Lightly tweaked some dialogue lines.
- Enemies now take damage from spikes.
- The queue of people in the saferoom now match the people you bring back.
- Each scientist now has a unique look.
- Made collisions on all doors consistent.
- Added some tutorial text for interacting.
- You now visibly drop a scientist when dying.
