Dorm Roach
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

No art or anything show off this week but I'm making good progress on new Emily/Girlzilla events! Since her room will be the focus of this build I've also made it possible to start the game there instead of Titania/Diana's room. While that probably won't remain it's letting me test the flexibility of the framework I've been building.

A major part of my plan is that each run through the game will take you through at least three rooms of increasing difficulty to reach the end of the main story. In Titania's room you are all but guaranteed to find resources while exploring so it's a perfect starting point. Girlzilla's room has fewer resources and you'll need to approach her more often to survive. Getting caught won't be a death sentence though so it's still pretty safe. The final rooms will be hard to survive in and much more dangerous to explore. By that point you'll need to have good gear and tactics and may even need to retreat to an easier room if you get unlucky.

Ultimately I want to have multiple rooms of each difficulty so that two runs never play out quite the same. Everything is holding together well so far but the harder rooms need a more robust equipment system and that needs a more complicated crafting system. Those are in progress but won't be getting my full focus until Emily's room is more complete. There's also the UI stuff that is meant to be the point of this version which I've only given passing attention to!

Lots of work left for a complete game but only a week until the February test build and I'm pretty excited for it!
