Tutorial Update!

Tickets, Please!
A browser game made in HTML5

Howdy Y'all!

Sorry for the delay since the last post! Between christmas and a general need to rest, I haven't had a ton of time to work on the game.

That being said, we took  the game to a local playtesting event last month and this is the result of the feedback from said event.  Below is the main updates from this build

  • Time Limit Removed: The time limit didn't seem to help anything, just cause stress, so we removed it!
  • Ticket Check Simplified: For the tutorial level you only need to check stations. We will introduce more elements as the game goes on
  • Some Tutorialisation: The inspector calls out instructions when players aren't moving / interacting with passengers
  • Implemented Click Through Chat: Some dialogue is a bit long so you can click through!
  • QoL control and UI/Sound effects: Some dings and fwips to try and highlight the manual and other interations. Dialogue can be exited with escape (in PC at least, on Web is just kills fullscreen and I haven't looked into whether I can stop that yet), and trying to move also closes dialogue.

Took this version of the build to the same playtesting event yesterday and we have even more feedback, so expect another version of the tutorial level before we see other routes!

As always, would love to hear feedback in the comments!
