Week 3 of Development

Submarine
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

For this week of development I completed my work on the sprites for the game. Having completed some initial versions of a few sprites in the previous week, I decided to alter the colour palette that I was using so that they show up better. Once I completed all of the sprites I spent time making sure that they displayed properly, implementing some basic code to set the size of the camera so that the pixels in the sprites weren't stretched. After this I began reworking some of the UI elements, adding a section to display which power-up the player is currently holding. I also moved where the player's distance is displayed so that it follows the progress bar towards their personal best. As well as this I made it so that the player's personal best is now saved and read properly. Finally, I made it so that the player can't move off of the screen or to the same value on the y axis as the UI.
