As some of you may know, Epic Games recently transitioned their HTML5 support to an external "Platform Extension", leaving the community to extend and support the platform. And with Unreal Engine 4.24.x upon us, the small executable for testing the standalone build has been removed. Whether by mistake or by design is hard to answer, but in response to this I've made Concordia!
Concordia is a small program that hosts a local HTTP server for testing deployment of web applications. It's intended purpose is for testing web games, but it could also work for websites and similar small projects. At this point in development, I would recommend using Concordia for local testing as the focus is on speed and efficiency. The program implements basic security checks and I cannot guarantee safety over a WAN.
Almost anyone! Testing a website? A video game? Some other browser based project? Go ahead!
It's free! You are welcome to use it however you want, or even contribute to it's development on GitHub! Outside of that, you can always donate to the project and help support the development and future of the project!
You can leave a comment or post here on itch! Or log an issue on GitHub. While I can't ensure that I'll respond to every message I get, I'll do my best to respond to the high priority messages.
Right now I'll be working on:
