Yomi Alliance is about to hit the shelves of Steam's Early Access in a few days, on February 10, as scheduled.
While the game is in its very first steps of development - the current release version is 0.0.3 - it already goes with a lot of content, mostly story-related, with the first differences between professions and species that will come out while playing.
The final release is scheduled in 2021. Game features will be added month after month and the released game already has different paths to explore. Still, the full potential of the game will be unleashed in a matter of months.
Supporting the Early Access game will allow me to keep producing more exciting content for you, as of course my studio is very (very) small and developing a videogame certainly costs a lot. That's why Early Accesses are released, and that's why supporting them helps all developers - but especially indie ones - a lot.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
Grabbing the Early Access also has another advantage, as the final release will be priced about 50% higher than the current one, being it filled with a lot of new content. Early Access price could also increase in time for the same reason.
Grabbing the game at Early Access launch (with a launch discount too!) will ensure you'll get all the updates as soon as they're released, so it's the best deal if you like our games and want something different.
Will this be much like General Practitioner?
The level of complexity for the choice/consequence and different playthrough will be as high as GP, but there won't be any repetitive tasks in Yomi Alliance. It's more a RPG while GP was more of a simulator kind of game.
You will be asked to choose your weekly schedule, but besides that you'll be free to live your own story.
Thank you for following the game's development, I hope you'll enjoy Yomi Alliance. It's a bold project, as it was GP when I started developing it, but with your support every challenge is worth facing!
Be safe and healthy, see you out there!
