Moving on from Bubble Soccer

Bubble Soccer
A downloadable Game for Windows

Hello, anyone who stumbled across this, this is the creation that I spent a few months working on, and then got bored and moved on to a new project, I've decided to put the unfinished version here, mainly just for closure. I feel that I spent so much time and it would be a waste not to share it with people, If this project gets any interest, I'll be sure to actually fix the game, and maybe add some content.
Now I would like to do a reflection on my experience, mainly what went right and what didn't!
What went right:
1. Motivation
during the development of this, I was very excited, as it was my first project and was relatively small in scale, I thought that I would finish it quickly and then move on, but as development went on, morale was lower, and polishing and finishing a game is way harder than starting it and getting the core components right.
2. Organisation
During development I kept my project files organized, and a list of builds with dates attached, so that I could come back and see what I made years later.
What went wrong:
1. Lack of actual programming knowledge
At the start of this project, I didn't know shit about what actually went into finishing a game, I could do everything I needed at the time, but I had no idea how to network, and forgot to actually search things up instead of always tackling them myself
2. Pressure
As time went on I felt a need to make the game completely balanced and really fun, and that it would blow up or something, but I never should have thought this way, because in reality no game is perfect and I needed to accept that, and that my game wouldn't be a hit, because that's never how this industry works.
There are obviously more things than this but this is a basic rundown of how I felt.
thanks for reading
