I've never done this!!!!! Actually launching a FULL demo on itch and on Game Jolt!
The demo features the multiplayer stuff, excluding online play, some power-ups, and characters! And in the campaign, it features the first area of the game!
Yeah, play the game on my page I guess.
Oh yeah, I took my time with the launch on itch compared to Game Jolt.
Which means on itch, we have 1.1.0 instead of 1.0.0 of the demo! Here's the changes:
- Added Health Packs! They can be bought with the in-game Bucks currency and used on the go, or found and used instantly in caves! They heal 50 HP.
- Knockback! Hit the enemy with melee, it goes backwards, allowing for combat to be more fun and generally better.
- Added Bandages! Same as Health Packs, but cheaper, and only heal 10 HP.
- Added Shops to sell items to get Bucks, or items to buy WITH Bucks!
- Fleshed out the settings more! You can change audio settings now.
- The stamina related gizmos in the climbing area are now YELLOW! Gives a distinct different to HP.
- Added Robot Cogs! They're items with little to no purpose, other than selling. They could be used for crafting, but for what?
- Added checkpoints on Easy difficulty! They allow you to preserve progress in caves and climbing, making it a whole lot easier and less infuriating!
- Made the Ellie Rainbow explosion sound more copyright friendly
- Added 5 second automatic respawn for the Ball, for when it gets stuck
- Being able to swing everywhere in the campaign
- Fixed some input mapping
- Stopped lag on lower-end devices on the title screen
- Removed "stuff" from the Difficulty Selector's disclaimer. Don't ask why my Dad wanted that removed. No idea.
- Fixed scoring bug in Tutorial
- Fixed Dialogue portraits
- Fixed layering for the title screen
Well, that's all we have for now, stay on the court! And prepare for the announcement of Online Multiplayer... some time in the future lol
