This week I've worked mostly on touching up the buildings and rooms in Compen. Someone pointed out that a lot of the buildings seemed large and the rooms had a lot of unnecessary empty space. Someone also suggested that if I'm struggling with trying to fill up a room with furniture and decorations, I should just cut down the size of everything. Below is a comparison of a pre-demo version of the layout of Compen (the non-marketplace portion) and an updated version of it to show you the empty space I'm talking about.

There are still a few bits of shrubbery I need to strategically place but I do think this more condensed version already looks significantly better.
My next big challenge will be making big changes to the marketplace. Since this is taking a hard turn from Visual Novel to RPG, I have to apply an actual currency system as well as making sure the stores in the marketplace have relevant items that can be bought and sold. Fingers crossed I don't cut out any of the vendors because of this. Maybe if there's a crafting system plugin for RPG Maker MV...
