Barely Legal Kombat is a deliberately janky 3D fighting sandbox inspired by classic arena fighters — but intentionally done the wrong way.
This is a single-player, one-character experience where you can move around, throw punches and kicks, and enjoy the chaos of fast, unpolished combat. There’s no balance, no competitive depth, and no attempt to hide the rough edges.
That’s the point.
This project was made as a learning exercise in Unity 3D, focusing on:
basic combat logic
animation triggering
hit detection
player movement in a 3D space
It was also made because I was bored and wanted to experiment without worrying about polish.
Matches are short
Animations are rough
Hitboxes are questionable
And honestly? That’s the fun of it.
It’s not polished. It’s not balanced.
It’s so bad it’s good.
Setting up simple combat systems
How quickly “small” issues add up in fighting games
Why polish and balance matter — and when they don’t
This project isn’t meant to be serious. It’s meant to exist, be played, and be a reminder that finishing something is better than perfecting nothing.
