Do not Obey in Advance is finally out.
I initially planned to release the game during summer, but as always, life got on the way. Better late than never!
Do not Obey in Advance is a TTRPG using Forged in the Dark as the engine. It is a game about a resistance cell fighting against a repressive authoritarian regime. The game takes place in our modern world, somewhere out there, in a major city. The table can choose where in the world the game takes place and then customize it to fit the location.
I tried to design the game in a way that gives options to experience different types of resistance. You can go a pacifistic route of demonstration and legal battles, where you convert people to your side and even turn regime goons away from violence. Direct action is, naturally, the opposite route, where you concentrate on violence, sabotage and direct conflict. Between these routes is the subterfuge option, where you infiltrate the regime and the halls of power, building resistance within the system itself.
The cell and character playbooks are built with this in mind. Two cells are designed for direct action, two for mass action and two for subterfuge. The rest (and the character playbooks) can act in any role.
