Chapter 19

Numbers have never been my strong suit. They slip off my brain, won’t stay put no matter now much I want them to. I should have known it would be an issue when I started writing a book that required me to keep track of specific numbers of characters.

Every day before I make the new chapter public, I re-read it and the previous day’s release. Today I realised that my numbers were completely wrong. That’s why this chapter is a little later than the others have been - I needed to rewrite it to make the numbers work. I’m likely to spend today re-reading and fixing the remaining chapters, too, to make sure that my maths is right.

In addition to today’s release I’ve also replaced Chapter 18 with files that contain the correct numbers. I probably could have got away with leaving it as it was, but it would have annoyed me forever, so I fixed it.
