Version 1.1.0 of Cutscene Director Pro is now available. This update removes a major limitation of earlier versions by making all advanced cinematic effects fully accessible through plugin commands, not just CSV-driven cutscenes.
You can now use the system directly inside standard RPG Maker MZ events while still retaining full support for CSV cutscene workflows.
Here is what's new:
The camera can now smoothly pan to exact map coordinates over a set duration. This can be triggered directly from plugin commands inside any event, making it easy to create establishing shots and controlled reveals without switching to CSV cutscenes.
Characters can now fade in and out smoothly using plugin commands. These effects are no longer limited to CSV cutscenes and can be used anywhere in your game logic.
This enables:
Cinematic entrances and exits
Ghost and spirit effects
Teleportation and transformation moments
Game speed can now be adjusted through plugin commands, allowing slow motion and fast-forward effects to be triggered dynamically during gameplay or cutscenes.
This is ideal for:
Dramatic action moments
Time skips and montages
Scripted gameplay sequences
Flash and tone effects can now be applied to individual characters through plugin commands, instead of being restricted to full-screen effects or CSV scenes.
This allows for precise visual feedback such as:
Damage and impact highlights
Magical transformations
Possession or status indicators
