Hi all! Now that it’s been a couple of months since Chapter 4’s release, I wanted to give a progress update on Chapter 5.
I have 35k words written of Chapter 5. It’s been a complicated chapter to write due to some tonal shifts. The first half of the chapter is a little heavy, full of deep conversations. The second half is more light hearted and action packed. I need to give you time to develop your relationships, but I also wanted to inject some playful banter, lightheartedness, and shenanigans in the chapter. It’s a pretty big chapter with lots of variables and branches. Add to that the stress of the holidays and planning for my trip, and it’s been a struggle to write.
I’ll be out of the country for most of January. I hope to have the chapter in front of my beta readers and KoFi members in February, then released to the public in March. If you’re curious and don’t want to wait, the first third of the chapter is available for KoFi members now, roughly 20k words.
