A new update for the Please Don’t Shoot the Humans demo is now live. This patch focuses on clarity, balance, and making each run feel smoother from start to finish.
Better Upgrade Clarity
Affordable and nonaffordable skill nodes now use distinct colors even when not hovered. Browsing the tree should feel much cleaner.
Civilian Evacuation Fixes
Evacuation upgrades now successfully evacuate all 25 civilians by the end of a run, making the system far more reliable and impactful.
Economy and Balance Adjustments
New Enemy Type: Bounty Zombie
Bounty Zombies now appear in waves and drop double gold when defeated.
Skill Tree Layout
The skill tree now uses a concentric circle layout that is easier to navigate and more visually organized.
Gold Summary Improvements
The Gold Summary window is now skippable with Space, Enter, or Click (with a short buffer to prevent accidental skips).
Save/Load System Fixes
Saving and loading now function so you can continue runs without losing progress.
Endless Play After Completion
The demo now reaches a satisfying “completion” once all upgrades are unlocked, but you can keep playing indefinitely if you want to push your limits.
Thanks for all the feedback so far. These improvements were driven directly by your suggestions, so keep them coming.
