I was able to get some major features up and running. This represents a major milestone, as I've now gotten most of the major features I wanted into the game:
There is a more discernable skill tree now, with skills that require chasing different attributes.
A Map screen can be accessed by pressing the 'M' key. In some environments (like the forest immediately outside the village) it will be revealed. In dungeons, it will be hidden until rooms are explored. Certain points of interest will simply appear as a '?' until they are investigated.
When making a character, you can customize their appearance. The selection is somewhat limited, but I have plans to expand what is available.
Multiplayer is available via LAN.
I've put a lot of work into polishing the game loop:
- Explore dungeon
- gather resources
- return
- upgrade gear and hub with gathered resources
Theres more work to be done, but there should be more motivation to engage the intended game loop now.
I've added tooltips to most of the interactions in the game.
