A downloadable Oru, game for Windows

Hi, 803games here, and it is time for another new devlog.

Let us just freely chat this time.

First thing first is the rhythm game part. Just finally add the video playback function on last Wednesday. However, this function has certain limitations because of the game engine version. Though the latest version of the game engine has better support for playing video, it would be a big modification for a long time if Oru's game engine were changed now, which would make the aim of finishing world 1 before Chinese New Year become impossible. But if there were enough time and funds, it would be OK to do this job at such an early stage; otherwise, just leave it for a later time. 🤷‍♂️, as the game Oru is still not completed, right? Finish it first.

Then the second thing is about world 1. Now, the first 4 floors were finished (though lacking the story content), and the next 6 floors could not be updated in the next update due to not enough time to finish. Thus, the next update is a minor fix for the rhythm game section's bugs. And the content from floor 31 to floor 40 will be updated in the next week.

And at last, let's talk about the story part. Play the Oru to obtain the current concrete story. But here, I want to talk about why I create the story. Actually, from the beginning, I was thinking of just making something up, and that would be enough. During the relaxed time in the development, the novels I have read impressed me a lot. When I design Oru at last, they inspire me to bring their ideas to life because a game is more than just a game. However, given the current state of Oru's development, the current story is too hard to be understood. Moreover, with telling the story using emojis, this makes it even more confusing. I can only say I will try to represent the story with actual language, but I still want people all over the world to be able to try to understand this story's real intention with no bias, rather than misunderstandings caused by different languages used. 👊😤👊😤👊😤

嗨,大家好,又是捌零叁工作室的日志时间。

这次就随便聊聊吧。

首先是音游这边。终于是赶在周三把视频播放加上去了。不过这个播放因为引擎版本问题,限制比较多。而新版引擎虽然能支持更好的视频播放,但是现在再来更新引擎的话,Oru整个代码就需要大改了。这会让在过年前完成世界1的目标变得更难实现。所以目前先这样吧。如果后面有足够的时间跟资金,也许会提前试着更改的;不然还是留到后面吧。🤷‍♂️,毕竟游戏还能做得出来不是吗?先做吧。

然后就是世界1这边。现在就是把前4层楼做了出来(当然依旧暂时缺少剧情),后面6层下周应该是赶不及。所以下周预计先把音游这边的问题点修了传上去,再在下下周把31到40层更新上去。

最后说说剧情部分吧。具体的内容进Oru里玩就知道了;这里我想说说为什么想要创作这样的剧情。其实一开始我还想着直接随便编一点,差不多得了;不过在开发途中,我休息时间看的几个小说,却深深影响了我。它们激励我最终在创作Oru时,有了想要把这些东西都加上去的肯定——毕竟游戏不应该只是游戏。不过以目前Oru这开发状态来说,这确实让人觉得不知道在讲什么。更由于我使用emoji来讲述这个故事,让人更摸不着头脑了。只能说尽量用回语言表达吧,但是我还是想用emoji来让全世界任何人,都能尝试理解出本意,而不是因为使用语言的不同所导致的理解偏差。👊😤👊😤👊😤
