Hello everyone!
The new minor update (v0.2.2) is now complete, and I wanted to share a full breakdown of what’s been added, adjusted, and fixed. This update focuses on improving gameplay balance, tightening early-game structure, and polishing several systems based on player feedback.
Because v0.2.2 is only accessible through Patreon subscriptions, I will also be posting a paid itch.io version linked from the Demo page for anyone who prefers a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. This will go live shortly.
GAMEPLAY & BALANCE
Claire now receives increased Mood penalties for certain actions. This was always intended, but was introduced later after players had time to learn the core mechanics.
Actions with stronger Mood impact:
Collecting samples from patients
Treating patients of poor or good hygiene
Balancing adjustments:
Higher Tolerance reduces Mood loss
Resting at home restores slightly more Mood
Additional gameplay updates:
Added two early quests:
Collect genetic material
Research your first mutation
Mutation section in the Pause Menu is now locked until the first quest is completed.
CLINIC UPDATES
Removed placeholder skills that did not yet have animations
On Day 3, all patients now lack good hygiene
Adjusted random stat gain for actions (science, perception, technique, tolerance)
Balanced the frequency of the 4 rolled actions each round
Added visual feedback when Claire gains a stat
Added hover tooltips when learning mutations
+1 AP point to improve stat progression
Skill menu added
Claire’s initial class shown in the Pause Menu
VISUAL & UI IMPROVEMENTS
Updated buttons, dialogue frames, and menu frames
Added background box for speaker names in dialogue
Added visual indicators to the town map
Updated certain action sound effects
BUG FIXES
Town Map not applying correctly in some scenes (fixed)
Volume settings not applying in Kate’s shop (fixed)
Lingering text and mutation icons after Clinic sessions removed
Clinic rounds ending unexpectedly (fixed)
Fixed animation interruptions caused by rapid clickingon action buttons
Android APK added
