I had my first playtest ready to go before the start of the jam and i am close to releasing the next playtest including a few new features that I thought would be interesting to explore. I want to make the enemies feel interesting and to pose a challenge for the player. I still need to include new enemy types but I already have a few tools that I've designed for the player to use for fighting the enemies.
The first is the anti-gravity effect that I added in mostly bc i thought it sounded cool, but through testing the game myself I don't see much reason for it unless i think of an interesting use case to fight against enemies.
I've added a health bar to lower the potential difficulty and an energy bar to remove potential spamming of your projectiles.
And now enemies spawn periodically throughout the game.
This is all that I have right now I hope to have it finished soon within the next week. I would've liked to have more done by the end of the jam but life and work takes a lot of time and energy out of my day. Thanks to everyone who has expressed interest in this project. It's helped keep me going.
