Dev Build out on Patreon! 0.16.9 "Foundations of Civilization"

Epoch: Alternate History
A downloadable game for Windows

Dev builds are only accessible for paid Patreon members

Present Day Scenario (2019):

*Fixed world hunger

Features:

+Invention: Lunar Calendar

+New event when transitioning from an anarchy into another source of power

+Tradition: Fasting

*Battles now cause devastation again

*Changed the way devastation is calculated

*Cities can be selected as culture leaders

User Interface:

+Outlines on text in event windows

*Support for up to 6 buttons in event windows

*Text can draw further to the right in events before starting a new line

Text:

*Changes to loading screen tips displaying obsolete game terminology

Tweaks:

*Bonuses from gathering, hunting and fishing traditions now apply to cultural lands too

*Changes to unity gain/loss for cultures

*Chunks are updated more frequently

*Culture spread is now affected by elevation

*During a culture split it is now decided by population numbers rather than chance if the new culture should have its own culture tie

*Limited spawning of new cultures so they can't spawn in huge mountain ranges

*Long term food security now affects birthrates (Population numbers will be more volatile)

*Player hunter-gatherer initial population size has been capped to 150

*Slightly lower chance for a culture split to result in the new culture having a different homeland

*Stricter rules for which nomadic groups can convert in a culture split

-Removed some requirements for the trapping invention to make it easier to obtain

Fixes:

*Cultures could adopt a tradition more than once

*Cultures' traditions and name meanings were not saved to savefiles

*Tattoo tradition could never be adopted by a culture (In reality this should be a very common one)

*Tradition modifiers were not applied properly

*Very Rare crash when countries agreed on an armistice

Optimization:

*Dead cultures get deleted and cleared from memory

*Optimized updating the mapmode when several requests to change colors of tiles happen in one frame (Lowers late-game lag in the paleolithic epoch)

*Slight optimization to discovering new inventions

Debugging:

*Improved tile coordinate display in debug mode
