In this section of the game, I’ve been developing three main time-related mechanics. The Temporal Field is an area the player can step into where everything around them freezes, letting them move while the world stays still. Time Reversal lets certain objects return to a previous state — broken structures can “unbreak,” fallen pieces rise back, and simple mechanisms reset themselves. And finally, the Time Loop, where a short action repeats endlessly until the player interacts with it at the right moment, creating timing-based puzzles without requiring reflexes. These three systems together add depth to the puzzles while keeping the gameplay slow, methodical, and readable.
