Been working on Chapter 2 and these lines really hit the way I wanted — here's a little glimpse
Your fingers close around the blade—the only thing that's ever made sense, the only constant that hasn't abandoned you.
As you draw it the light catches a dark red spot on the grey steel. Blood. Her blood.
The memories from that night flicker before your eyes, pressing hard against your chest.
Her eyes—wide, confused, hurt. Her hand slipping off your skin as her life washed away.
A kill has never felt wrong before — so why now?
