Weโre closing in on the release of V0.5, and things are really locking into place. Hereโs the latest from the world of Black Fox:
๐ Story โ 110%
The writing for this update is officially wrapped up and polished. The narrative for V0.5 actually grew beyond the original plan — more depth, more tension, more world-building.
๐ป Coding โ 96%
Core systems are integrated and tested. Only the final tweaks and refinements remain.
๐จ Rendering โ 105%
We went past the planned visual scope — more renders, more atmosphere, and improved scene cohesion made it into the update.
๐ ๏ธ Extras / Testing โ 65%
Bug hunting, polishing, UI passes, and general improvements are progressing steadily.
๐ต Music & Sound โ 70%
New ambience, cleaner SFX, and more immersive audio layers have been added.
Now at 98% completion, the Compendium is nearly perfect. It dynamically unlocks lore and character entries as you play, with only minor refinements left.
The relationship system is implemented but not fully functional yet.
Itโll act as an information hub in V0.5, with the real gameplay impact planned for V0.6.
A new injury mechanic has been added.
Battles, traps, and dangerous events can leave you wounded — reducing max health until properly treated or over a long period of time. It adds tension and makes risky choices feel riskier.
Currently at 50/50.
Depending on final tests, it may land in V0.5 — otherwise itโll be fully implemented and balanced in V0.6.
A proper shop/trading system is planned for V0.6, with smarter buying, selling, and resource handling.
Mini-games will arrive later — not before V0.6, possibly V0.7, since core systems take priority.
V0.5 is our biggest step forward so far — not just in content, but in systems, visuals, and how all parts of the game start to connect.
