New Look! November Release is here!

Hello future Tilewalkers,

the time has come! After a long and bumpy journey, I’m finally happy with the current build. With the new Windows and Android version, I’ve completely reworked the look and feel. The core gameplay remains the same, but almost all assets have been replaced.

With the new visual style, I’m aiming for a more consistent look and a more cohesive worldbuilding experience. My goal is to significantly improve the game’s immersion. The idea is to pull you into the chronicle itself—so it feels as if you’re flipping through the ancient Tilewalker Chronicle and experiencing each chapter firsthand. To reflect this, all images and assets now feature an old oil-painting aesthetic.

I also refined the beginning of the game. Instead of random character portraits, you now choose directly from the residents of Sundheim.

Hallo zukünftige Tilewalker,

es ist soweit! Nach einem langen, holprigen Weg bin ich endlich zufrieden mit dem aktuellen Build. Mit der neuen Version für Windows und Android habe ich den Look & Feel grundlegend überarbeitet. Das grundlegende Gameplay ist unverändert geblieben, aber nahezu alle Assets wurden ausgetauscht.

Mit dem neuen Look verfolge ich eine konsistentere Optik und damit ein einheitlicheres Worldbuilding. Ziel ist es, die Immersion des Spiels spürbar zu erhöhen. Mein Ansatz war, euch direkt in die Chronik hineinzuziehen – als würdet ihr tatsächlich in der uralten Tilewalker-Chronik blättern und jedes Kapitel selbst erleben. Passend dazu besitzen alle Bilder und Assets nun einen alten, ölmalereiartigen Stil.

Außerdem habe ich den Einstieg leicht überarbeitet. Statt beliebiger Charakterporträts wählt ihr nun direkt einen der Bewohnerinnen von Sundheim aus.

Lasst mich gern wissen, was ihr vom neuen Look haltet – und ob ihr Lust habt, das Spiel einmal selbst auszuprobieren.
