Over the past few days, several important new features have been added to the game, further deepening the overall command experience.
From now on, every x missions you’ll encounter a Base Event — a short decision scenario you can interact with if you choose to.
Your choice has real consequences: depending on your answer, the entire unit’s morale may rise or fall.
These small but meaningful moments reinforce the feeling of command responsibility.
Character files will now shift and tilt when you manually move them on the board.
It creates the impression that you’ve just tossed them back down — slight angles, a bit of disorder, adding to the gritty field-desk atmosphere.
After each mission, however, the system automatically re-aligns them to a clean, regimented layout to preserve the strict administrative aesthetic.
Every promotion now automatically grants +10 morale to the promoted soldier.
This gives a bit more incentive for long-term service and adds a layer of tactical decision-making regarding who and when you promote.
The game is currently extremely difficult — to the point where even with developer “accelerated mode” I often struggle to complete a full run.
In the coming weeks, the focus is on:
long-form gameplay testing
balancing mission casualty rates
fine-tuning the morale system
adjusting the pacing of promotions and discharges
These are time-consuming tasks, as even a single full “near-endgame” run can take several hours, even with dev tools.
The Steam page is nearly ready, and if everything goes as planned,
the game will release in late January 2026.
