Adriana's Clean Up!
A browser game made in HTML5

Hello! This devlog serves to both keep track of my progress and also share my struggles. I have been keeping track of my progress in markdown notes but from now on, I want a web version to coincide with my game uploads :)

I took on this project to expand my ability to code all on my own, and to share my art through games! I am a fulltime animation student but I wanted something to do on the side where I could control my learning and by the end, make something finished that I can show to other people!

So far, I have kept my game design planning very organized, and I have a very specific vision for how I want this project to look and feel in the end. Right now, I don't have much to show for... any of it. at all. But! That's what progress is for!

Below is my notes for what I accomplished today, and notes for things I need to tackle next time I work on this project.

11/22/25

- renewed self confidence in finishing this prototype as a "concept of gameplay"

- learned signals to get clickables to communicate and add score to the Main script

- removed ability to click the background to gain score

- PROJECT IS UPLOADED TO ITCH BUT IT DOESNT WORK LOL

 - uploaded first devlog :)

 To-Do

- create constants for how many points something is worth and how much the max points should be

- add note to remove point counter later

- gather sfx

- research particles

- spawning clickables in a random array and deleting them once clicked.

- have clickables spawn randomly within a timeframe (3-10 seconds?)

- write this code to be easily adjustable in the future, because everyone knows im indecisive

- learn how to export an html game properly.
