This tutorial covers the fictional side of Æ.O.N on how to go from launch to a small functional language seed.
Open the application and wait for the system to finish loading. You should see lines like:
[SYSTEM] Version: 1.x.x
[SYSTEM] Welcome to Æ.O.N: The Analytical Engine of Origin and Narrative
[SYSTEM] Type commands like >help, >clear, or start chatting
Switch between creative or analytical focus.
Commands:
> fictionmode
or
> academic
For this example, we'll stick with fiction mode.
Your first useful message is a short plain description of the language you want to work on. Keep it simple.
I want to build a small fictional language for a coastal culture.
Celtic influence, used in everyday speech and ritual.
This is enough for the system to set a direction.
Ask for a compact sound system so later outputs stay consistent.
> Propose a small phoneme inventory (about 5 vowels and 12 to 16 consonants).
Give:
- the IPA list
- a short description of the overall sound
- 5 natural example syllables
With a phonology in place, generate a basic vocabulary sample.
> Using that sound system, create 10 core words:
water, stone, night, fire, wind,
person, child, ancestor, home, path
Include:
- the word
- IPA
- gloss
To see change simulation in action, run a small time skip.
> Take the word for "ancestor" and simulate 300 years of natural sound change in an isolated coastal community.
Show:
- each stage
- IPA
- a one line explanation of each shift
Save anything you want to preserve.
> save
The manual covers module details, exports, and deeper simulation options. This short tutorial is only to get you from zero to a minimal language seed without complexity.
Tip: You do not need to be a Linguistic to communicate with Æ.O.N. Plain language is enough, Æ.O.N will adapt to whatever level of detail you provide.
