Hey everyone!
Version 0.65 is now finally ready, including three new Hangout Events and a lot of work on affection levels, a new accessible area in the manor, a new guide system, and the first steps of the visual overall. You can now raise Amaranth, Yuno and Elana to affection level 15 and unlock their Hangouts there.
The last two weeks have been pretty busy in real life, so I couldn’t write a proper devlog last week.
But don’t worry, I was still working.
Most of the progress went into expanding the new Hangout Events for version 0.65, which is now complete.
Each character (Yuno, Amaranth, and Elana) received a dedicated moment designed to bring more warmth, depth, and personality to the manor between chapters.
To access these scenes, you will need:
The only character who does not have a level 15 Hangout yet is Sasha — and if you finished Myrelis, you probably understand why.
Your decision at the end of Myrelis will now have its first impacts on free roam and future story content.
Alongside this, a new explorable location is now accessible: the Manor Gardens.
You’ve visited it before during the story, but you can now enter it freely. There’s nothing special to do there yet, except Yuno’s Hangout.
Where to find the Hangouts:
Most of the work went into the affection system and the Hangouts themselves. These scenes required some adjustments in Blender, which naturally began to set the foundations for the full overhaul planned for next month.
The enhancements in the latest scenes are quite noticeable, and I hope you’ll enjoy them. They’re only a small preview of what’s coming.
The groundwork is now in place, and the transition to a cleaner, more consistent art style has officially begun.
I also added a small Guide system inside the Calendar, so players can now check the exact in-game date of the next event. Just click on the calendar bar and a small window will pop up, stating the date of the next event and what you should do while waiting.
Future updates will add guides for affection events too.
This should make progression clearer and help avoid wandering around when a story scene is scheduled for a specific day.
Starting next week, each devlog will showcase a screenshot of a different graphical improvement until the overhaul version is ready.
In the next few weeks, my main goal will be to improve the game’s visuals, starting with the character sprites.
Expect new poses, new expressions, new colors.
I’ll also be revisiting every background for the manor and the city (yes — it’s time to say goodbye to the hideous training grounds).
